Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the serene green expanse of Pakruojis, the Pakruojis Manor Hotel Miller's House offers an enchanting winter retreat, particularly delightful during the Lantern Festival. On my recent Christmas escapade, accompanied by my wife, we were charmed by the characterful farmhouse design and the warm, inviting rooms that provided not just comfort but a sense of history. The attentive room service and the enticing restaurant, Traktierius, delivered an array of Lithuanian dishes that showcased the local culinary culture, highlighted by historic recipes accompanied by the finest regional beers. Breakfast was a particularly memorable experience, served in charming historic utensils while soft gramophone music played in the background. It truly encapsulated the authenticity of our stay. Although we encountered a less-than-stellar reception from some staff, the overall warm atmosphere coupled with unique tours including the 'Cognition of the Beer Road' made our visit both enjoyable and educational. For those seeking a picturesque getaway rich in tradition and delectable dining, Pakruojis Manor is indeed a hidden gem.
